During Sue De Pasquale’s 12 years as editor of Johns Hopkins Magazine, the magazine consistently ranked among the nation’s best university publications and repeatedly earned gold medals in “staff writing” and “issues in higher education reporting” from the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE). In 1998, the Johns Hopkins Magazine was named the Robert Sibley Magazine of the Year by a panel of Newsweek judges.

A graduate of Columbia University’s Graduate School of Journalism, where she graduated with honors and a concentration in magazine journalism, Sue completed her undergraduate degree at Washington College in Chestertown, Maryland. There she earned the Sophie Kerr Prize, the largest undergraduate writing prize in the country, valued at $30,000-plus in 1987.
