During Sue De Pasquale’s 12 years as editor
of Johns Hopkins Magazine, the magazine consistently ranked
among the nation’s best university publications and repeatedly
earned gold medals in “staff writing” and “issues
in higher education reporting” from the Council for Advancement
and Support of Education (CASE). In 1998, the Johns Hopkins Magazine was
named the Robert Sibley Magazine of the Year by a panel of Newsweek judges.
A
graduate of Columbia University’s Graduate School of Journalism,
where she graduated with honors and a concentration in magazine journalism,
Sue completed her undergraduate degree at Washington College in Chestertown,
Maryland. There she earned the Sophie Kerr Prize, the largest undergraduate
writing prize in the country, valued at $30,000-plus in 1987. |
